Calvin Dwight Harris | Writer/Director/Producer

Calvin Dwight Harris, was born on the sunny Caribbean island of New Providence, which is among the seven hundred islands and chains that make up the Bahamas. In 1988, at the age of 18, Calvin left home on a track and field scholarship to attend Murray State University. After transferring to the University of Idaho in 1990, Calvin graduated with an Engineering Degree in 1994 and soon afterward moved to Denver, Colorado. His love for watching movies and a passion to one day make a difference in the film industry is what inspired Calvin to become a filmmaker.

With an inspired vision, Calvin founded Harris Entertainment in the spring of 2004. The first film released under the Harris Entertainment banner was; “On The Wings of Men”. This film explored the life of the first Prime Minister of the Bahamas; Sir Lynden Oscar Pindling, and his fight against US foreign policies in the 1980’s during the drug war. This film was released in 2012. On The Wings of Men won the audience award for Best Documentary Film at the 8th Annual Bahamas International Film Festival (2011) and was nominated for Best Documentary Film at the Montreal Black International Film Festival (2012) & the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival (2012).

Calvin Dwight Harris is currently Producing the upcoming feature documentary film entitled; “Perfect Feet” the Movie. Perfect Feet the Movie is a feature-length documentary film about one man’s journey to find the perfect set of feet. This movie is scheduled for release in 2019.

Because of his work on Perfect Feet the Movie, Mr. Harris became inspired to create a New Diabetes campaign called “Show Me Your Feet”. This campaign was designed to raise awareness about the issues diabetics may face with their feet & raise money to find an eventual cure for diabetes.

William Reed | Executive Producer

William Reed was born on July 28, 1984. He grew up in the beautiful city of Virginia Beach VA where he would occasionally participate in several of his schools theater productions. After graduating from high school, William attended the local community college and soon after transferred to Old Dominion University. Unsure of what to major in, William decided to take a break from school and move to Denver, CO in 2004. While living in Denver,

Gary Otte | Director of Photography

An artist with light, color and motion, Gary Otte brings a creative eye as director of photography to the look of movies, documentaries and commercials.

His talent is exhibited in the camera angles and lighting design he creates to best convey the story’s tone. Gary’s visionary cinematography has brought him onto film and television projects throughout the world. His work has garnered awards for projects he’s worked on and has been seen on ESPN, ESPN 2, The History Channel and The Discovery Channel. Gary also shot the footage for the award winning documentary film; “On The Wings of Men”. His Excellency Sir Clifford Darling – (02-06-1922) – (12-27-2011)

A former Progressive Liberal Party Member of Parliament for Englerston, Sir Clifford was born on February 6, 1922, at Acklins Island to Charles and Aremilia Darling. He attended the Acklins Public School and public schools in New Providence. The former taxicab driver served as general secretary of The Bahamas Taxicab Union for eight years and as president for 10.

His Excellency Sir Clifford Darling, KT., J.P., is the fourth Bahamian-born Governor General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Sir Clifford was sworn in at Government House on January 2, 1992, by Chief Justice Joaquim Gonsalves-Sabola, succeeding His Excellency Sir Henry Taylor, Kt., J.P who retired on January 1. Sir Clifford died on December 27, 2011. He was 89-years-old.

Rt. Hon. Perry Gladstone Christie

The Rt. Hon. Perry Gladstone Christie (Former Prime Minister Commonwealth of the Bahamas) 2002 – 2007 & 2012 – 2017. The Rt. Hon. Perry Gladstone Christie was born in Nassau on August 21, 1943, to Gladstone L. Christie, a taxi driver and Naomi Christie nee Allen, a nurse. He grew up and was raised in the area of New Providence known as The Valley. He attended the Government High School but was later expelled, a critical turning point in his development as he committed himself to academic excellence, studying under the care of D. W. Davis. He went on to read law at the University of London.

The Right Honourable Perry Gladstone Christie was sworn in as the fifth Prime Minister of an independent Bahamas on May 8, 2012, following the Progressive Liberal’s Party (PLP) victory in the general elections of May 7, 2012. He is also the Minister of Finance with responsibility for the Office of the Prime Minister, Department of Lands and Surveys, Department of Statistics and the Ministry of Finance.

The Hon. Allyson Maynard Gibson QC (born 11 January 1957) is a Bahamian barrister, politician, and community rights advocate, particularly with regard to laws affecting women and children. Since 2012 she has been the Attorney General and Minister for Legal Affairs of The Bahamas,and leader of government business in the Senate of the Bahamas. From 2002 to 2007, she served as Minister of Financial Services and Investments in the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) administration.

She is the daughter of former deputy prime minister (1985–92) Clement T. Maynard.

Sir Arthur Alexander Foulkes GCMG

Sir Arthur Alexander Foulkes GCMG (born 11 May 1928) was the Governor-General of the Bahamas from 2011 to 2014. Foulkes was elected to the House of Assembly in 1967 and served in the government of Lynden Pindling as Minister of Communications and Minister of Tourism. In 1971, he was a founder of the Free National Movement, and he was appointed to the Senate in 1972 and 1977 before returning to the House of Assembly in 1982. He was appointed a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (KCMG) in 2001. He was promoted to Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (GCMG) in 2010.

Honourable A. Loftus Roker

The Hon. A Loftus Roker was born on the island Acklins, located in the southern region of the Bahamas. After realizing that the Teaching Profession was not his calling, Mr. Roker decided to return to school aboard to study Law.

As a former Minister of National Security, Mr. Roker became itched in Bahamian history because of his tough stance on the Haitian Immigration issues plaguing the Bahamas under the Pindling Government in the 1980’s.
Mr. Roker is currently retired from Politics and has returned to live in his birth place; Acklins.
